Our composite door line has been launched due to increasing demand to give you extra choice when selecting the doorway to your home.

Composite doors are slightly different to our standard residential door range:

• They couple the benefits of a robust PVCu door with a traditional aesthetic; giving a house a rich and classic style.
• The timber effect is produced with a GRP skin, which comes in a variety of colours, and is strong and durable.
• They can be adapted to a range of styles including fire doors and stable doors; therefore creating a classic theme throughout your house.

All Super Fortress™ door locks are approved by the ABI (Association of British Insurers) and benefit from multi point locks with hook bolts and a deadbolt. The deadbolt is secured against sawing by hardened steel pins. The locks tested to European Standard DIN 181003, DIN 18251, DIN 18357 and are recognised to conform to BS3621:1980

As an additional extra, increasing the security of your home, all composite doors can be fitted with an ‘anti-bump’ barrel, which prevents a would-be burglar from bumping the door locking mechanism. See our lock bumping guide for further information.

As with our standard PVCu doors we use high security hinges on all composite doors for increased safety and strength. All are manufactured to comply with the relevant security standards. Extra hinge protection bolts can be fitted to further increase security, but these need to be specified at the time of ordering.
